Wishing you a Happy Birthday - #91 BSC

Happy Friday everyone.

Oh my hasn't this fortnight flew, its seems no length of time when my daughter started her easter holidays from school now she is on her last school day of them.  She asked me at the start of her holidays if I would take her to a place called People's Park, based in County Antrim here in Northern Ireland.  Its basically a large play park with slides, swings etc and theres a large pond filled with various birds.  As usual the weather is unpredictable and it is dull and wet compared to yesterday, but we will go anyway and feed the ducks, maybe it will dry up.

Well its Friday so that means we have another challenge on the

Our theme is week is - Anything Goes

So here is my project

The size of this card is about A5 in size and its a cream hammered effect card.  I took a A4 piece of card and folded it in half and then centred up the dies on one side.  When I putting it through my Ebosser I only put the cutting plate over the half of the die and then embossed the whole thing, so only half of the die was cut.  Then I folded this half again which popped out one side of the shape leaving one side in the card.  I have used a image from our sponsors details below and coloured it in with promarkers.  I cut it out with a spellbinders die - Grand Decorative Ovals One (the second smallest one) and then inked it up with Antique Linen distress ink.  Then I attached it to the card with Cosmic Shimmer glue.  The sentiment is from a free stamp set I got with a craft magazine and I used another Spellbinder die to cut it out Labels Thirteen.

The flower Display in the corner of the card I handmade it myself with satin material cut into various size circles, I took a lighter and went round the edge of them to slightly melt the edge, stuck them together with glue and put one of my wee centres in the middle.  I added a stick pin and a pearl sprig which I made myself and I added a feather to finish it off.

The inside of my card is done using the same paper from a free sample 6 x 6 paper block with a magazine - Webster Pages combo pack - Western Romance & All About Me.  As my card was bigger than the size of the paper I do have a join towards the top so I cut a die from the Grand Decorative Ovals the smallest one out in a lovely light blue card, this could be used for a personal message or sentiment,  I also used a small corner cut from a Spellbinder border die out of the Vintage Lace Accents.

Our Sponsors this week are
