Clay Creations

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by my blog.

Say hello to Little Miss

Oh what can I say I have started play with some polymer clay that I purchased a long time ago and this is my second little figure the first one was Easter related which I will blog later.  If I was honest this clay was purchased while I was off recovering from my op (oh my that will be 3 years in August this year).  I have been inspired by a lovely lady who appears on Create and Craft call Kathryn Sturrock, she has a real gift for this crafting material and makes some fantastic creations, her website is Karacter Krafts, also drop by her Facebook page Sugar Buttons

Another lady I have been watching lady in Jan Clement May, this is a take on a figure that is in one of her books Sugar Figures.  This lady works with sugar paste and makes figures for her cakes.

My plan is to make some different figures to use as cake toppers and sell them through my blog, Etsy or eBay sites, but as I have just taken up this craft I think a little practise first, lol.  Keep an eye out for my Easter project which I will blog in the next day or two.

Happy Easter

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by my blog.

Over at Brown Sugar we have a new challenge starting today.

Theme: Spring

So here is my card for this week

The card base is 8 x 4.5" and is white card stock.  I cut the front of the card away leaving about 1/2" at the top to attach the acetate too.  I cut two strips of the patterned paper from the stack and used a Martha Stewart border punch - doily lace and the seep edge border punch - Eyelet lace.

The sentiment was made using a Alphabet Die set from Quickutz (apologies but I don't remember which one).  The card stock was white coloured with distress ink "Victorian Velvet")

The flowers are cherry blossoms from Wild Orchard Crafts and the leaves were cut from green patterned paper using Spellbinders little leaf set

The photo above shows up close how the acetate sits nicely on the front of the card and i have mirrored the back of the acetate with the front with patterned paper.  The insert of the card is out of the same patterned paper and when it is going to be sent out I will insert a verse.

I coloured my image with Crayola Coloured pencils and layered onto a die from Sizzix Circles and Spellbinders Lacy Circles.
