Sending you a note

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by my blog.

Over at Brown Sugar we have a new challenge starting today.

Theme: One for the Boys

So here is my card for this week

This card is made up off a pece of A4 white card stock folded in half, I cut the front in half and attached a piece of project acetate.  Using some blue card stock I layered into my card and then place patterned paper on top.  My image was already coloured which was a help as to what coloured scheme i chose.  I cut it out using a spellbinder die and again matted and layered into with the same colour scheme as the base card.  Finished it up with a sentiment that came with the image and a few black gems in each corner.  i matted and layed the inside from cover the same way as I done the front which meant it hid the glue which I attached the acteate with and the inside of the back which with the sctate show through.

Items used:-
White, blue cardstock
blacka gems
Patterned paper by My Minds Eye - Big Boy Stack
project acetate
Collall photglue

Meet Allistair the Alligator

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by my blog.

Over at Brown Sugar we have a new challenge starting today.

Theme: Spring

So here is my card for this week

Say hello to Allistair the Alligator, he is a digi image from our sponsors this week, (details below).  He is coloured with Steadtler and Crayola pencils and blended with Spectrum Noir blending solution.  He is cut out using Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics B, and if you can see from the photo I cut around the end of his tail and slipped the die undersneath so its hanging of the page, then I matted it onto a distress yellow patterened paper and olive green cadstock.

My background is done using the same distress yellow paper with a co ordinating patterened paper from the same stack.  the harlaquin was cut using the sizzix thinlets mixed media dies.  The both of these are then layered on the olive green card stock.  Finishing off with three black gems on two of the opposite corners.

Happy April Fools

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by my blog.

Firstly can I apologise for this blog post being late, its been a little hectic in our household this week, packing the husband off for a few days and then one of my fur babies getting herself hurt.  This meant multiple trips to the vets, resulting in surgery on Monday morning.  So here is my card for this week Brown Sugar Challenge.

The card base was 6 x 6 white and layered with patterned paper.  The image was coloured with pencils and cut with a spellbinders lacy die and using a pair of scissors I cut the lace part off.

I handmade the flowers from a spellbinders bloom die and added a little glitter glue to the tips of the petals to make them sparkle.
