Rainbow Bear

Hello and welcome to my blog.

Todays post is showcasing some samples I have made for

Katy Sue Designs for the mould for the beautiful

 Rainbow Bear

This beautiful little bear is so cute and so much fun to work with.  You can you all sorts of mediums in this mould, resin, utee, candle wax, airdry clay and polymer clay.

This little guy was made out of Airdry Clay using white and some of the colours.

You can change his appearance for any seasons, in this sample I have used

a little bit of gold thread from my stash.

Below are a few more projects which I have made using this little bear.

It was a real pleasure working with this little bear mould and
if you are thinking of purchasing take the plunge you not be disappointed.

You can see some of my makes on YouTube

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog

I apologize for not posting, I have been busy in my home life but I now hope I'm back.

I have been making samples for Katy Sue Designs for coming up on 3 years, oh my goodness where has the time gone. It goes so fast but i am really enjoying it so much, seeing the projects I make on the TV craft channels make me grin like a cheshire cat, it give you a great buzz.  I would like to thank Katy Sue for giving me the opportunity and I hope a few more years of making samples for them.  There moulds are second to none and of the highest quality materials which you can use hot glue, utee, air dry clay and polymer.  These moulds are food safe which means you can use fondant, hot chocolate, but I would recommend you have a set for your crafting and a set for your kitchen.

Please see below a short video using some of the Katy sue moulds and some others moulds and cutters that I have had in my stash long before I started on the Katy Sue design time.

Please if you like what you see, click on the thumbs up and subscribe to my channel.  I will be putting a few more of my makes up and hopefully a few other videos.

Thank you so much for stopping by and

Happy Crafting

Home Decor - New Home

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog.

My blog post for today is another home decor clay project.  It would make a lovely gift for anyone that has just got their first home or someone who has just moved house.

The base is MDF painted with cosmic shimmer chalk paint, colour stone, then covered with printed tissue paper.  Once dried I used the green part of a kitchen scourer to apply paint around the outside to give it a bushy feel.

I used the beautiful Katy sue Designs Sugar Button Moulds designed by Kathryn Sturrock from Karacter Krafts.

Items used :-
Katy Sue Designs – Mini Alphabets,
Sugar Buttons Moulds – Birdhouse and Owl
Premo Polymer Clay
Cosmic shimmer chalk paint
Printed Tissue paper
jute string

Happy 2018

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog.

My apologies I haven’t been around, but I have been busy with my small retail spot in Midtown Makers and making samples for Katy Sue Design Ltd.

I am back and my new year promise, which hasn’t got off to a very good start was to blog more and keep my social media pages up to date.  My techie skills are very basic, and I get through with the little that I know.

So, I am going to take an afternoon in the week and keep my Facebook page up to date, schedule posts and put up items I have made for sale.  I am opening my Esty page again where I will sell my items as well as putting them into my retail space in Midtown.

Another thing I would love to do in the future is to post videos on YouTube, but I have yet to get my courage built up and get to like my voice.

New Facebook Page

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog

Its been a while since I blogged on here, the reason is that I have been trying to set up a little business with my craft products mainly clay.  I have rented a shelf in our local town in a retail outlet Ballymena called Midtown Makers Studio and Shop.

In Midtown we have over 50 wonderful crafters showing and selling their products, paintings, purses, bears, cushions, tiny gardens, glass products, candles and so much more.  If you are in Northern Ireland visiting or live here please drop by and have a wee browse round, have a cup of coffee and a chat.   If you cant see anything you want or if you need something special for someone take a business card and call the maker direct or leave details with Jim in the shop and we will get in contact with you.

My aim for my blog is to post on here weekly showing items I have made for you too look at and please tell your friends to drop by.  I have also set up a Facebook page to show my projects and if you have a free moment please drop by there and have a wee look at

Here are some of my projects

Some of these were done freehand and some where using Katy Sue Moulds

Thank you for dropping by my blog and
my apologies for being away for so long.

Counting the days

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by my blog.

Over at Brown Sugar  we have a new challenge starting today.

Theme: Anything Goes

This is my project for this weeks challenge on brown sugar, I decided to make a plague for a bride to be.  I have two nieces that got engaged this year.  One getting married in two years time and one getting married in four years time.

This is a piece of mount board which i received from my neighbour as he is a picture framer and these were left over pieces.  i painted it with chalk paint then went over it with Mod podge sparkle medium, Took the image that I received from our sponsor and enlarged it.  Painted the heart with blackboard paint went round it with clear glue from a glue gun and then while it was warm sprinkle from silver glitter over it.  Coloured the flowers in with pencils and the coated them with Mod podge gloss-lustre.  The bow is made with a free die I received from a magazine and the letters are from various dies.  In the bottom corners i used aged silver embossing enamel to give it a wee bit of a aged look.
